Iota magazine
Poetry
Iota magazine welcomes submissions of new poetry. Please send no more than six poems. We do not accept
simultaneous submissions or previously published work.
Poems must be in English, the original work of the author and translations must be marked as such, with the title and
the author of the original poem included.
Submissions are judged anonymously so your name should not appear on the poetry. Include a separate sheet with
your name, address and a full list of poems submitted. No email submissions will be accepted, but you may elect to
have an email reply. We will usually reply within three months. The decision of the Editorial Board is final. Poetry
submissions are received and considered on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Please bear in mind that submissions
made between June and September may take longer for a response.
Fiction & Non fiction
Iota is currently publishing its first fiction/non fiction issue and welcomes submissions of short fiction in any
genre, including life writing and memoir for consideration for the second fiction issue. Please send short stories of
between 2000 and 6000 words. All stories must be the original work of the author. We accept translations as long as
they are identified as such. All work must be typed and double spaced. We do accept electronic submissions, but only
for fiction submissions. All posted work will be returned as long the appropriate return postage is provided. Our aim
is to respond within two months. Please also send proposals (150 words) for features or essays. We also accept new
fiction, biography and life writing for review, and copies should be sent to the Fiction Reviews Editor at the address
below. Please email submissions and proposals to fiction@iotamagazine.co.uk
